Many spiritual truths are before our eyes, staring us in the face, but we just do not see them. We need a different perspective to see the whole reality. A story will frequently make us do this. A paradigm shift is brought about through the story. The stories in this book give us different angles on the mysterious reality which we call prayer. |
Silence into Service: From Mantra Prayer to More Genuine Care by Gerry Pierse, cssr 148 pp., PhP 79 Fr. Pierse shows us how the ancient tradition of praying the mantra as taught by Frs. John Main and Laurence Freeman, puts us in touch with the Spirit who dwells within us and releases our energies for a more genuine and caring apostolate. |

rBook by Fr. Gerry Pierse: Category: Liturgy & Sacraments The best word
I can find to describe this book is integration. In these reflections
on the gospel readings for year A, B, and C of the liturgical cycle, Fr.
Pierse integrates the richness of the word of God with experiences and
stories from life in the community. He shows how through silence, the
word can bear fruit in service and sacrament. (R. J. Cardinal
Vidal) View an excerpts from this book: The Popular Holy Week Index of the book |
