Inn Story, Another Version
Rey
and Andy were bitter rivals in school. Rey was miffed when Andy
was given the role of Joseph in the school Christmas play. He was
determined to upset and shame Andy during the performance.
When Mary and Joseph (Andy) came knocking at his door the innkeeper
was supposed to say, "There is no room in the inn."
But
Rey said "Come right in!" Andy was knocked off his balance
for just a moment and then he said to Mary, "Wait here a moment
until I inspect the house." He came back in a moment and said
to Mary "It is filthy. The stable would be much better!"
