Where was Emmaus? What is its actual location at present? Archaeologists do not agree, although tradition places it in the village of El-Qubeibeh. Perhaps analyzing symbolically the two stages of the text can assess this inaccuracy. First it speaks of a mysterious traveler who explains the word to his fellow travelers, which moves them deeply. Later, in Emmaus, in the breaking of the bread, that is, celebrating the Eucharist they recognized him as the Risen One. Is this not what happens in all the churches of the world which somehow can be the lost Emmaus?
